A mother in a dark place finds herself haunted by the Black Shuck. She must consider whether this apparition is real or simply a manifestation of her pain.

The Black Shuck is a beast said to roam the corners of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The Black Shuck with his red eyes, ghastly claws and fearsome howl is hallowed to be the harbinger of death to those unfortunate enough to view this macabre omen. More positive folklore promotes the idea of the creature as a benign protector of those alone in the darkness of the cold and deserted woodland nights, specifically lone women.
